All three options use the same physical train family (EN Chopin / EN Metropol) — a Polish sleeping-car consist that runs Budapest → Bratislava → Břeclav, where it splits. The Vienna→Warsaw leg boards the Chopin (NJ 471) at Wien Hbf; the Budapest and Bratislava options board the Metropol, which is the same family continuing north. The cars are split/joined at Břeclav (CZ), and the Kraków/Warsaw-bound portion continues via Katowice. Sleeping cars and fares are nearly identical; difference is just where you board, total ride time, and price.

Date sanity-check: an overnight sleeper departing evening N arrives morning N+1. To arrive Warszawa Centralna on Sat Jul 25, the right night to board is Fri Jul 24 evening. Boarding Thu Jul 23 evening would arrive Fri Jul 24 morning — one day too early.

Decision factors

Where are you sleeping Fri Jul 24 night anyway? The cleanest decision is to end the 12-night V/B/Br window in the city whose sleeper you'd take. So the V/B/Br split and the sleeper option are coupled — pick the city, the sleeper is decided. Reference splits are in the project status page.
How much time do you want on the train? Vienna = 8h45, Bratislava = 10h, Budapest = 12h30. In practice all three arrive at the same 08:00, so this is really "how much of the night do you lose to the rails vs. the bed".
Book-now vs. wait? If you decide tonight, only Option A (Vienna, NJ 471) is bookable — 90-day window already open. Options B & C wait until ~25 May 2026 for their 60-day window to open. There's no penalty for waiting on B/C, but you also can't lock in the inventory early.
Backtracking: Options B and C preserve Budapest / Bratislava as the "last real city" before Warsaw — you wake up in Warsaw instead of doing a wasted half-day in transit. Option A from Vienna requires backtracking from wherever you actually were (unless you spent the 12nt block all in Vienna).
